Hello everybody! Woah, the last month has been one hell of a ride. Apps.Apps.And more Apps. Well, despite all the sleepless nights preparing documents, writing essays and going out to replenish my printer's ink; on the whole it was a joyful experience.
While writing down my achievements and appreciating what I had done, I was able to garner some confidence.While you go back down memory lane, you also recollect the mistakes you made and realise some more mistakes which you never figured out earlier.This helps you keep your feet on the ground and value the importance of retrospection in daily life. Being confident and yet rooted to the ground is difficult and take years of practise for most people.Lucky for kids of my generation, one month of seemingly hell experiences teach us that.

Rahul Sharad Dravid-the end of an era
In a few hours from now,my sporting idol Rahul Sharad Dravid is going to hang up his boots and never again will any of us get the opportunity to see him mesmerize us by his sheer determination and mental strength to never give up and pull India out of the tightest situations.
In 1999,Glenn McGrath said if there was one Indian player who would get an automatic entry into an Australian team filled with stars, it would be Rahul Dravid.Just 3 years after his debut on June 20,1996, this lad from Bangalore had made even the mighty Australians look at him in awe.
I vividly remember(thanks to my parent's incessant nagging about how cute I was when I was small) as a small boy when I was sitting on my dad's lap and saw Rahul Dravid come onto the pitch at England.It was his debut then and I asked my father,"Is he playing for India because he is a big boy?"(As any crazy cricket fan,I thought once I become a big boy,the Indian cricket team would open its gates wide open for me!).My father ignored my silly question but when Dravid scored his 50 and there was applause all around the ground,my father pulled my leg and asked me to clap for "Rahul Dravid".That was the day when this great man's name was etched in my mind.
After nearly 16 years of cricket,I think what anyone in the cricketing circle would admire Dravid for would his discipline and ability to get out his vast amounts of mental strength to play the innings he would as well as do the right thing for the team.Be it keeping wickets,giving up the captaincy to a younger and dynamic Dhoni or play his
first and last international Twenty20 since his country and his team needed him.
Well,Sir Rahul Dravid(that day should come soon according to me), you were a great timer of the ball and I think even in the end you announced your retirement at the right time.
Perfect timing.Permanent class.Pure Perfection.
